Russian Brides Sanctuary was started by our owner Christopher of Houston, Texas.  Christopher began searching for his wife back in 2002.  He started out like most men do, not knowing who to trust, what was real and what was not.  He corresponded through many of the largest, most popular and seemingly most legitimate sites.  However, upon traveling over to Ukraine to try and meet the women with whom he had been corresponding (on a social tour hosted by one of the more popular correspondence sites), Christopher found that actually meeting his "Pen Pals" was easier said than done.  He didn't get to meet most of the women with whom he had corresponded for many reasons.

He found that few of the women that he had been writing to actually came to the socials that were offered and that the hospitality suites that were supposed to be able to arrange meetings with the ladies from the company's website were almost totally inefficient.  They were simply too understaffed and unorganized to be effective for most of the men on the tour.  He had been told that arranging meetings with the ladies he had been writing to would be as simple as a phone call to them.  What he found was that there were more than 40 men vying for dates with basically the same women that he was and that the first few that submitted their "wish list" got most of the dates, but even those men were disappointed overall at the few dates that the hospitality staff was actually able to arrange.  The startling truth was that the site in question really didn't know the ladies listed on their site and had no real way, other than dialing a phone number listed in their database, to arrange a meeting with any of the ladies on their site.  Out of the 20 ladies listed on his "wish list," the hospitality staff managed only 1 meeting for him.  The rest of the ladies that he met were from the social, but he found that many of these ladies were too young and inexperienced to make good wives for anyone, not really considering a foreign marriage or just there for the party or for business reasons.  It wasn't the quality group of potential "Bride Candidates" that he had been promised.  He did get lucky and a few of the ladies with whom he had corresponded did show up at the socials, but the majority of them were not aware of his correspondence with them.  It was an eye-opening experience to say the least.   

Bewildered and confused, Christopher turned to a different social tour company for his next trip, but experienced similar results from the hospitality suite and socials.  Luckily on this trip, he met a couple of ladies who were working as interpreters at one of the socials that told him of a more efficient way to conduct his search.  Luckily, these two ladies worked for a local Ukrainian marriage agency as well.  They took him to their office in Kherson and showed him many lovely ladies that he had not seen before on any website.  He told them about himself, his interests and what he was looking for in a potential wife and these ladies helped him to choose 8 ladies that it made sense for him to meet.  You see, they knew all of their female clients personally and therefore were able to make practical suggestions regarding which ladies it made sense for him to meet based on his own criteria.  Much to his surprise, these ladies were able to arrange a perfect 100% of his choices.  8 for 8.  He was very impressed indeed.

Although none of the ladies that he met on that trip were "the one," all were absolutely of the type that he was looking for.  Each was charming, wholesome and humble, traditional, attentive and honestly considering the idea of marrying a foreign man.  The truth is that any of the ladies that he met would have made a fine wife for the right someone.  Christopher had found the best method for finding his bride, the right people to help him and the right area in which to conduct his search.
